I finally finished this. I've only been sitting on it for.. at least five.. six months? Oi. My Little Black Parade is a band tribute pony for the band My Chemical Romance. This pony was originally titled "My Little Gerard" but as I doubt I'm doing a set, I figure I'll just hook it to the whole band. ^-^

The MLP Body used for this custom was G3 Sweet Sparkle. I removed all of the symbols, but left the blaze of glitter on the face. I rerooted this with Katsilk "Midnight" hair from RestoreDoll.com, then I painted the rump print, eyes and blaze notes with acrylics and sealed them.

The jacket was hand-sewn from scrap black material I had laying around, and the markings on it are painted acrylic. There are 'tears' and 'marks' in the fabric, but that is to give it a more 'deathly' look. The jacket CAN be removed. For shots of the MLP without the jacket, click here: [link]

Forgive the crappy photo quality, as my camera is only a 3.3megapixel and not intended for these close shots or details.

Over all work (without all the gaffing off I did) was probably about 15 hours. Haha, 15 hours to 6 months. I'm such a procrastinator!

All in all, I'm pleased with it. This is my second custom. =3


I have yet to decide whether or not to auction this on eBay as I don't have an account set up for selling. But this pony will most likely be for sale. If you have offers, I'm more than willing to listen to them via PMs. ^-^v

T____T I know. I'm trying to get a hold of a friend to use his camera, because mine is only a 3.3megapixel, and sucks horribly. I just put this up because it was the only thing I could get for now until I get a better camera myself or can use someone else's. Argh crappy cameras suck really bad. :cry:

Maybe you could try a white background for your camera to try to focus better... maybe this could work >.< Or, using the maximum resolution take the pics even if you think that the pony seems to far. You place yourself enough far for the pic looks focused. Then in a photo editor, you can cut your pics and you will see that you will have a good photo with good resolution ;) I hope I explained myself properly >.<

He looks so amazing and it's just your second???? Congratulatiooons! :D

I'm definitely going to try the suggestions. My camera was set on the highest quality it can achieve though, and I didn't have anything but a black background. I'm thinking about taking him somewhere to shoot better images, and replace these here. ^-^ We'll see. Either way, the symbol still won't show up very well because I can't achieve details much at all with this camera. It's .. well it's just really crappy. Rofl.

And yeah, it's my second. ^-^; My first was done before I even knew what I was doing. It's linked somewhere on the Arena in the customs forum, I think. *grins* And thanks!

LOL!!! how awesome!!! i couldn't help but laugh out loud when i saw this...that is just too cute....i LOVE MCR, and i love My Little Pony, so this is too perfect. My Little Gerard Way. that is too original. :-) i hate that you had to do so much work (maybe not so much for you but for me it would've taken a year and a million messups) just to get stuck with a not-so-great camera. i was stuck with a 2.1 megapixel digicam until just last christmas. YUCK. but really it's not so bad. the effect is kinda cool. the blur makes it look more like a band glam shot or something. ^-^

great job....my best friend would probably die for this (she's insane for gerard way). I'm sure if you post pics of it on any MCR forum you'll have people tripping over their own feet for it. hope you get/have gotten tons of offers! :-3
